Dave Dusick Foundation with Indiana Ice Fundraiser a Success

On Saturday, March 9, the Dave Dusick Foundation joined forces with the Indiana Ice to continue to raise funds and awareness for Riley Children’s Hospital. A portion of all Indiana Ice tickets sold though the Foundation for Saturday’s game went to benefit the not-for-profit. Currently in her second round of cancer treatment, three year old Riley Kid Olivia was given the honor ofphoto 3 participating in the game starting puck drop before joining her Dave Dusick Foundation friends and family in the stands to watch the hockey game. The proceeds from the ticket sales combined with the sales of Foundation event shirts totaled $1,112.

“It’s such an incredible thing to see so many people come together for such a great cause,” said foundation Founder Dave Dusick. “We couldn’t have done it without the support of the Indiana Ice and all the people from the Foundation who donate their time and energy into helping the Riley kids. It’s a great way to start our fundraising efforts for the year and look forward to many great events.”

Also a childhood cancer survivor from Riley Children’s Hospital, Dave Dusick has dedicated his life to giving back to the hospital that gave him a new chance at life. Through various fundraising events, social media efforts and public speaking opportunities, Dusick is able to share his personal message of hope with the world. “I Know Dave Dusick,” a social media promotion effort, utilizes Dusick’s unique experience to unite members of the I Know Dave Dusick Nation around North America to raise awareness through social media interaction. “Without these people, there is absolutely no way this would be possible,” said Dusick.
